We learned a long time ago that when people actually get a chance to hear one of our FrontRow systems, either at a tradeshow or in their own classroom, they are often amazed at what a difference a little amplification makes.

Schools are steadily migrating away from analog, hard-wired paging and intercom systems to a more advanced network-based architecture like FrontRow Conductor. But there are still some who wonder about the reliability of a network-based system vs. an old analog fixed-wire system. Similar discussions occurred when the telephone systems migrated from the old analog punch-down system to today’s voice-over-IP telephone systems.

Let’s take a moment to pause, take a deep breath and just be still for a moment. There’s a lot happening at once and there’ quite a bit of uncertainty. Just thinking about them all is kind of daunting to be honest. Just as we are individually trying to navigate, schools across the world are trying to cope as well.

You hear it everywhere lately, the “New Normal.” Coronavirus has forced us to live in a new way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are all quickly adapting to new protocols and adopting new technologies. Distance learning and remote working are now both widespread and common, collectively testing the bounds of technology so we can safely remain apart.

In case you haven't heard, we released Conductor 2.0 and Maestro 2.1 last month. Available here for download for FREE to existing customers, the latest client and server software adds some huge new administrative and configuration abilities.

It's important that the FrontRow Conductor campus communication and control system is perfectly synchronized with your school's “master time source." This time source is typically a Network Time Server (NTS) within the school's firewall, but can also be a server out on the Internet.

Unfortunately, and as suspected, the spreading of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is forcing the change of daily routines and motivating alternatives to social interaction as well as communication.

Following the stay-at-home order issued by the Governor of California, FrontRow will suspend all shipping and receiving at our Petaluma, CA warehouse beginning March 30. Any orders received during the stay at home period will be processed and shipped as soon as we return and resume normal operations.
