The winning video for the FrontRow Show-and-Tell Video Contest is Dreamteam and Front Row submitted Maili Bickley Grade 4/5, Teacher.

This video did a fantastic job demonstrating the numerous benefits of the new FrontRow student microphone in the classroom by showing how the microphone:

 

  • Increases students\' confidence.

  • Encourages student participation.

  • Enables more effective communication.
  • Reinforces turn taking and listening.
  • Creates an engaged learning environment.

    W. H. Day grand prize package included five complete FrontRow systems with both teacher and student microphones, IR speakers, and drop-in chargers.

    Installed with the support of our FrontRow Authorized Partner, High Tech Communications, these systems will help outfit the school so more classrooms can experience the same benefits. Additionally, the winning classroom will receive an MP3 player for podcasting with the FrontRow system, and the opportunity to discuss the history of the traditional talking-stick with an authentic Aboriginal tribe member via Skype, the classroom computer and the Pro Digital.

    Show and Tell Showcase Events

    As a part of the Show and Tell campaign, schools across Canada and the US were chosen to participate in Showcase Events featuring student presentations. School officials, parents, and local media were all invited to these events, giving the community an opportunity to see the classrooms using the new microphone.
